The position of Net Control is an important component of any on-air net. Having readily available trained and confident Net Control operators is essential in any actual emergency situation. Our weekly Eugene Em Comm nets (every Wednesday at 7:00 PM on 146.88 MHz, PL 100) provide an opportunity for volunteers to practice filling this essential position. In an emergency, any one of us may be called upon to function as Net Control, at least temporarily.

A generic Net Control Script is available in two versions: a PDF document with placeholders for your information, and a Word document that you can edit to include your personal information. It can also be found on the Docs and Maps page. A good general guide for Net Controllers, created by K8AMR, can be found here.
