The position of Net Control is an important component of any on-air net. Having readily available trained and confident Net Control operators is essential in any actual emergency situation. Our weekly Eugene Em Comm nets (every Wednesday at 7:00 PM on 146.88 MHz, PL 100, with the exception of 4th Wednesdays, which are reserved for Zoom trainings) provide an opportunity for volunteers to practice filling this essential position. In an emergency, any one of us may be called upon to function as Net Control, at least temporarily.
